The verdict is out in the second federal corruption trial of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich. His fortune wasn't as good this time around. The jury found him guilty on 17 of the 18 counts that it could reach an agreement on, including but not limited to his attempt to sell President Obama's old Senate seat.

The passage of the marriage equality bill on Friday night couldn't have been timed any better, since it kicked off what was a celebratory Gay Pride weekend in New York City. Rather than a protest or political action, this year's parade down Fifth Avenue and across Greenwich Village was all about celebration. Who cares if the people in Middle America are scared by our drag queens, leather daddies, and dykes on bikes, this year was for us—and what a time it was!

Is Lady Gaga stealing money designated for charity, from her website's sales of $5 "Pray for Japan" wristbands? A law firm called 1-800-LAW-FIRM says she is. According to its website, 1-800-LAW-FIRM is "America's most trusted legal network," so who am I to argue with their "Shady Gaga" campaign? [Image via Getty]

A wildfire in New Mexico is now less than one mile from the Los Alamos National Laboratory — where nuclear weapons and other fun things are developed — and a spokesman from the Santa Fe National Forest called it a "very, very big concern, not only locally but nationally and globally." That sounds bad.

Some of us suckers have woken up each morning this week hoping to see the headline, "New York Senate Finally Does Something About This Friggin Gay Marriage Bill," only to see the same story about how state Republicans are still thinkin' about it. And guess what? Today is no different, except that senators are getting pissy.
