If you’re not a TV news reporter, it may seem to you that the trend of yelling “fuck her right in the pussy!” on live TV broadcasts, considered the cutting edge of comedy last year, has mercifully faded away. But this Canadian reporter still hears it from rude idiots “every single day, 10 times a day,” and she’s not going to take it anymore.

“Hold on, were you guys waiting to see if you could ‘F Her in the P’ me on live TV? ... Seriously? ... You would humiliate me on live television?” City News reporter Shauna Hunt asked a gang of soccer bros outside a Toronto FC game.

Yes, seriously. They were, and they would. People still think this dumb catchphrase based on a dumb, staged video is “fucking hilarious.”

Asked to explain the humor of FHRITP, a dude in an Arsenal shirt argued it’s an English thing, that folks in the colonies just don’t understand:

“We’re not the only people… It happened in England… You’re lucky there’s not a fucking vibrator in your ear like in England, because it happens all the time.”

Broadly speaking, we’re all lucky we don’t have vibrators in our ears. This much is true. But it does nothing to explain how FHRITP (which didn’t originate anywhere close to England, m8, sorry) is actually humorous and not, as Hunt argues, disrespectful and degrading to her as a reporter and to women in general.

If you’re planning to FHRITP (in 2015! This meme is so old!), this is fair warning that reporters may treat you like a dog that just crapped on the rug, and you deserve it.
