Don't call her just a socialite: although she's the daughter of famed artist Julian Schnabel, Stella has carved a place for herself in the indie film scene in her own right.

OK, so her first role came in Daddy's 1996 film Basquiat, but her breakout role came with 2009's You Won't Miss Me, where she played the immense stretch of a twenty-something New York misfit (in fairness, her character was just released from a psychiatric hospital). Although Papa Schanbel will still sometimes throw her a bone, such as a role in his 2010 film Miral, and even though she's probably equally known for her hobnobbing through the New York social scene with pals like Zac Posen, she continues to find roles in small-ish indie films like Rampart with Woody Harrelson and Keep the Lights On. She's even branched into producing with her first executive producer credit on Harmony Korine's magnum opus, Spring Breakers. [Image via Getty]
