A social fixture and fashion maven, Lucy Sykes Rellie is the twin sister of Plum Sykes (the author of Bergdorf Blondes).

A native of the U.K., Lucy arrived in the U.S. in 1996 and worked as a fashion editor at Town & Country, Harpers Bazaar and, finally, as fashion director at Marie Claire. Like many in her social circle, she used her media connections to launch a fashion line, founding Lucy Sykes New York in 2005. Grabbing attention thanks to its celebrity clientele (Reese Witherspoon, Catherine Zeta Jones, Liv Tyler, Rachel Roy, Jessica Seinfeld), Lucy has since shifted gears as the fashion director of Rent the Runway, the popular site that allows customers to rent pricey designer frocks.

Sykes is married to party fixture and banker Euan Rellie. They have two sons with completely non-pretentious names, Heathcliff Felix Alastair Euan and Titus Jasper Jake Icarus. [Image via Getty]
