Welcome back to the Friday night television wasteland. If you make the mistake of foregoing the ArcLight's Synecdoche, New York showings, then toast up some Hot Pockets and hit the sofa. WATCH Curb Your Enthusiasm [11 PM, HBO] - Celebrate the 7th season pickup with one of the best episodes from last season. In it, everyone in the house is pissed off over a slow toaster and Larry insults a woman's rodent-looking dog and eventually invites his exterminator to a middle school production of Grease. If only our fully improvised lives were this full of comical annoyances.

Life [10 PM, NBC] - Watch as our favorite red-haired ex-inmate-turned-cop tracks down an escaped convict after an earthquake hits Los Angeles. This is one of the most underrated shows on TV (probably because it's been ghettoized to Fridays) and it's the little character details that make this more than a police procedural. Detective Charlie Crews (Damian Lewis) still carries an unregulated knife at all times, is unfamiliar with current technology and has a newfound affection for fresh fruit which make it worth an hour of your time that you should have been spending at Synecdoche, New York. TiVo Zane's Sex Chronicles [11:45 PM, Cinemax] - So you left the party early and you're still drunk and you have a big cable package and you want to watch some sort of urban sex show. Your search has ended! Tonight, a roof-top rendezvous between Ana Marie and Taariq ends with a surprise and changes come to Patience and Greg's relationship. We don't know who any of those people are, but it's probable that they have sex.

The Pick-up Artist [10 PM, VH1] - Watch as seduction artist, Mystery, and his wingpeople, Matador and Tara, teach nine awkward dudes how to score chicks. In tonight's repeat episode, the contestants hit on old ladies at a bingo game during their first reward challenge. Tune in for a new episode on Sunday at 10 PM. We do miss JDOG, Mystery's wingman from last season, but Tara's starting to come into her own as the first wingwoman in the show's history. And you thought you did a lot for the fairer sex, Susan B. Anthony! KILL

Don't Forget the Lyrics [9 PM, FOX] - A show that combines everything we hate: karaoke, memorization and Wayne Brady. If you had a particularly bad day and want to take it down to Danteian levels, flip on the surround sound and listen to everyone's favorite Greek-American AI loser, Constantine Maroulis, try to recall forgotten ballad lyrics. Supernanny [9 PM, ABC] - This week Jo helps a family who recently moved from New York to Georgia. The teenager doesn't trust her dad and the younger four children run wild. We haven't checked out the Defamer advertiser kit in a while, but it's doubtful that the people who read this site who also have five kids do not want to watch a show that reminds them that having kids is tough.
