If you've ever seen a photo of Svetlana Pankratova—she holds the Guinness record for "Woman with the Longest Legs," in case the name doesn't ring a bell—you may have wondered just how long it takes her to shave her legs. You didn't? Well, you can find out anyway on Thursday when Pankratova turns up at the Kiehl's store in the East Village for an "in-store shave demonstration" to promote the company's new shaving cream and raise money for the Lower Eastside Girls Club. Woman with the Longest Legs Shaves at Kiehl's to Benefit Lower Eastside Girls Club
WHO: Svetlana Pankratova, who holds the world record for Woman with the Longest Legs (measuring 4 ft, 4 inches)
WHAT: In-Store Shave Demonstration to benefit Lower Eastside Girls Club. Kiehl's will donate $44.00 to the Lower Eastside Girls Club for each shaving stroke. (Because Svetlana’s legs are 4 ft., 4 inches!)
WHEN: Thursday, March 5, 2009, 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM
WHY: In partnership with the Lower Eastside Girls Club, Svetlana Pankratova will shave her legs in the Kiehl's store to demonstrate Kiehl's "Close Shaverettes" Simply Mahvelous Legs Shave Cream. For each stroke, Kiehl's will donate $44.00 to the Lower East Side Girls Club.
ALSO: Kiehl's is hosting an in-store and online contest, during which customers can guess how long it takes Svetlana to shave her legs. Through March 15, visitors to Kiehl's stores and Kiehls.com can submit their guesses down to the second, and the customer in each Kiehl's store and on Kiehls.com who comes closest to the exact answer will win a full year's worth of "Close Shaverettes" Simply Mahvelous Legs Shave Cream.
