Back on Wednesday, we showed you a video that demonstrated the publicist-stopping power of Taser's new personal security device. Late this afternoon, a Defamer operative reports on yet another practical Hollywood application of the technology:
Last night at the Thursday night gay mecca, Tigerheat, Britney Spears arrived causing quite the commotion. Britney, a few friends and five body guards walked into the club's VIP area, causing the gays to just about lose their mind. She was dressed fairly nicely, but with the trashiest extensions I've ever seen. Some guy attempted to reach into the booth and was promptly tasered to the ground and dragged out of the club by three of her people.
Spears' handlers deserve credit for their swift deployment of nonlethal fan-repelling force; by neutralizing the interloper before he could get too close to the pop star, they protected their charge from the emotional harm that any potential insincere compliments about her trashy hair extensions and taste in ex-husbands undoubtedly would have caused.
