In today's episode: Steve Carell; Michael Bay; Liev Schreiber and Kathy Griffin; Jon Voight; Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Esposito; Mia Maestro; Mo Rocca; Chloe Sevigny; Paris Hilton; Fred Savage; Rhea Perlman; Leann Rimes; Rebecca Gayheart; John Gulager; Dana Delaney and Buck Henry; Paul Reubens; Ben Savage and Lauren "LC" Conrad.

· Saturday, January 6th, late afternoon.

Minding my own business, trying to navigate through the bottleneck which is the corridor at the Grove entrance/exit, when I look up to find STEVE CARELL. He was almost too nondescript - had his hooded sweatshirt, plain ball cap, and shades been even slightly cooler he would have blended into the crowd more. Still, because he asked the child in his stroller if they should go find 'mamma', so I decided against regaling him with my best-of-Office looks. I think they went into the Apple store.

· I was having dinner at Le Quai Restaurant in Newport Beach on saturday night when Michael Bay came in. I asked the hostess on my way out if it was his brand new Ferrari F430 outside; it was. I wonder if it was a transformer.

· 1/7 Mexico City/Los Feliz
Joined some friends for a birthday shindig. Spotted the super hot Liev Schreiber with a cute dark haired girl who wasn't Naomi Watts. He's tall (yay!) and even better looking in person. Kathy Griffin was also there. She's looking pretty good, too. The white trench she was wearing was stunning.

· sunday jan. 7 - liev schreiber at the albertsons on hillhurst in los feliz contemplating the butter selection. the only reason i noticed him was because he stopped mid aisle to snack straight from a bag in his cart. oh stars, they're just like US. no naomi to be found.

· I was at LAX on Thursday (1/4) and spotted an extremely haggard (and possibly drunk/hungover) Ray Liotta coming off an American Airlines flight from New York's JFK airport with his cute little blonde daughter. A limo driver met him at the gate and collected his luggage.

· Saw Jon Voight twice on Sunday at the Century City Westfield Mall. He was shopping for a laptop bag, as were we. He is tall and shiny in person. Thin hair and dressed in a dark suit. He was very nice to the salespeople helping him and boy they were helping him- falling all over him actually and completely ignoring us. Have to say though he has a somewhat creepy vibe to him- strangely stiff and zombie like. But that is excusable as he was polite and not interested in drawing attention to himself like most celebrities I see around town.

· Spotted newlyweds Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Esposito yesterday (1/6) at a strip mall on Lincoln in Marina del Rey that's kind of like part and parcel of that whole Marina shopping area. I'm bad at cars, but they pulled into the lot in what looked like a Range Rover, but I think was a Benz Anyway, looked like they were headed to the drycleaners because Cooper pulled an armful of laundry out of the backseat while Jennifer jawed on her cellphone in the passenger seat in that way where it's like you have to continue to the conversation but you know you also have to go to do that other thing so you're kind of vibrating halfway between the two tasks. I think Bradley Cooper was wearing aviator glasses. That is all.

· ast night (1/8) Mia Maestro outside the Sunset + Vine complex with a cute blond guy who was about twice her size (height not width).

Also, Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Esposito are totally stalking me. They intercepted me over the weekend under the guise of "dropping off dry cleaning" and then yesterday afternoon they were totally "going west" on Olympic while I was heading east! Like I was gonna fall for that old trick. Rookies.

· Two this past Sunday worthy of mention for the thinking Privacywatch reader:
9:30 am at Hugo's in West Hollywood, Mo Rocca, smart-ass extraordinare, sat alone eating an organic breakfast while facing the front door from the middle of the dining room (looking to make new WeHo friends anyone?).

6 pm at the Los Feliz Nature Mart: I was apparently blocking a funkily bespectacled Chloe Sevigny from her crunchy this-or-that, until I eventually moved, and she shot my fiancee a look of exasperation. Must be hard to be smart and steadily employed in Hollywood—that is, if you still have to eat alone and do your own shopping.

· I was at the Sunset 5 last night to see The Queen. Went to Buzz Coffee first and the minute we get in there the woman at the counter immediately starts babbling about how we literally just missed Paris Hilton by 5 seconds. Which was weird because someone walked past us down the stairs and into the store just a few minutes before, and my friend grabbed me and said, "oh my god, was that Paris ??? " It was hard to tell because she was totally hooded out and stuff and hiding her face.

So after the whole drama of Buzz Coffee (the woman at the counter talked about it for what seemed like an eternity - if you must know, Paris ordered a large chai, espresso shot, and a whole bunch of cookies, for a total of $27, but she gave the lady $30 and told her to keep the change - what a generous girl !!!!) - we went upstairs to Sunset 5 to the movie, where the ticket taker informed us that yes, he'd seen Paris Hilton too, and she'd be seeing the same movie as us, so behave !!! Of course, we're fags, so we can't behave around Paris Hilton, but anyway.

We took our seats and took turns casually turning around to see if she had sat down yet. No such luck. And as far as I can tell she did not sit down until the lights were down and the previews were over. I got up to go to the bathroom at a certain point (apparently I missed some very emotional scene where the [SPOILER] Queen sees a deer on top of a hill and cries) - and who do I see taking a seat in the back row with a big bag of popcorn...... you got it.

So anyway. Not really a big deal, I guess, since no fits were thrown and or Bentleys crashed and it's not like she puked in the bathroom during the middle of the film (as far as I can tell), but still, a pretty amusing L.A. experience.

· Paris Hilton was incognito at Arclight Cinemas in Hollywood tonight.

She was wearing a black hoodie with the hood up to conceal herself I guess. A few folks still recognized her. No one made a scene though. She didn't appear to be with a big entourage or anything.

This was around 8pm tonight (Sunday 1-7).

· Monday afternoon at 2 pm, Fred Savage, new dad, enters Toast with a woman and munchkin in tow (literally, and by the looks of it, junior has some nice wheels). He then proceeds to remind us all why we thought he was such a good guy back in the 90s: He picks his baby up and lovingly jiggles him (or her) around, so thoroughly ensconced in new-dad joy that he doesn't care who's waching. (He is, after all, sitting on one of the left-side couches with his back to the rest of the room.)

· Saturday, 1/6 - Rhea Perlman sneaker shopping at Sportie LA on Melrose. She looked tiny and adorable. I could not tell if she was with anyone else because the store was so crowded. She spent the entire time I was there walking up and down the aisles, browsing, no one bothering her.

· Leann Rimes 1/7 Pinkberry @ Santa Monica/ Huntley, yesterday afternoon 3pm. Wearing black pants, white tank top, gold flats. Full on makeup, looked gorgeous. Got 2 small regulars one w/ chocolate chips and one with blackberries. There was a guy waiting for her in a big black Escalade? Denali?

· Weekend of 1/6. Rebecca Gayheart at The Coffee Bean on Robertson. Gabbing with a girlfriend. Kind of thin, but not bad — hittable. Brandon "Spaulding" Davis hovering near The Ivy. Apparently there is a steam room facility nearby. Doctor 90210 at the Farmers Market. On his cell herding two children with repetitive finger snaps.

· Standing on the sidewalk outside of the Madame Matisse in Silver Lake, I spotted the winner/breakout star of Project Greenlight's final season, John Gulager leaving the cafe. I have yet to see Feast, the masterwork of low-budget horror he shot during the show, but I'm sure that it is nothing short of brilliant. Gulager!

· Been a slow season, but:

Dana Delaneyand Buck Henry (not together) at Campanile last week.

Paul Reubens (AKA Pee Wee Herman) at Hungry Cat.

· Saturday, 1/6, Formosa Cafe. Spotted the less-famous Savage brother who had that "Boy Meets World" show. Ben? I dunno, not the one from "Little Monsters". He was by himself, hovering near the bathrooms, double fisting his drinks (beer and a mixed drink). Hasn't aged a bit, but felt kinda bad for him. He just stood there. Alone. Watching everyone. Drinking. Hovering. Alone.

· Sunday, January 7th, early evening.

Saw an incredibly attractive LA-perfect kind of girl leave the Children of Men 4:40 Grove screening just in front of me. While waiting in line for validation, she met up with some friends who were presumably waiting for someone else in the bathroom. Recognizing one of her friends as Heidi made me realize that the blondie that I WAS NOT STALKING was Lauren "LC" Conrad. They do look good (jeans, sweats, tshirts, Grove-casual), and no outword signs of being obnoxious. LC's boyfriend was there too, but I don't know his name. But I know I don't like him.
