Speaking of terror: While we understand that the long delays and just straight up annoyance of a recent terrorist threat (not to mention the expensive bottle of Bumble & Bumble Sumo Tech you had to pitch from your carry-on) can be very stressful or whatever, perhaps people's resilience in the face of quotidian frustrations is being over-glorified? From the NYT:

Thousands of travelers caught in webs of tightened security faced long lines, canceled flights, frustrating delays and screening changes at airports across the New York region and the country yesterday, but most responded with the grudging acceptance of citizen-soldiers in the war on terror.

Ah, the citizen-soldier. Eating Burger King, flipping through the latest copy of Maxim without actually buying it, stopping for a Venti skim latte, and finally taking a nap, all to make us safer. Sweet dreams, citizen-soldier. Semper fi.
