Sharon Stone To Shock Audiences With Her Aging, Naked Body
Not one to be outdone by Madonna's recently adopted habit of sporting a leotard-induced cameltoe wherever she goes, that other blond, pushing-50 icon of showbiz pertinaciousness, Sharon Stone, would like for the world to take a long, hard look at her rapidly degenerating ladyparts, too. I felt we should hold off on the full nudity for a while in [Basic Instinct 2] and then I thought that when I ultimately did do the nude scene it should be done in a startling way that would be disturbing and threatening, Stone told London s Evening Standard. By the time the film is released, I will be 48 and I wanted to do the nudity in a way that s quite brazen. I wanted her to be very masculine, like a man in a steam room, and I wanted the audience to have a moment where they realize she s naked and then realize she s a fortysomething woman and naked.
While our knowledge of men's steam room social formalities is cursory (read: bordering on encyclopedic) at best, we're going to make a bold prediction: that Instinct 2's "brazen," "masculine" surprise will [possible spoiler alert] begin with a call-back to the original's classic leg-uncrossing moment, but, with the help of some impressively lifelike latex prosthetics and a faint, foley "thunk," will end with a shocking twist that will forever change audiences' perceptions of what to expect from a naked "fortysomething woman."
