Waggable: Valley ethics

Oh, Silicon Valley, it's so good to see you have ethics even lower than mine. A local journalist whispers to me:
My lesson in valley ethics this week: I have been asked if i "know someone who" will "help" do these things:
(1) Get a "review copy" of a $20K product as a front for a competitor who wants to check it out
(2) Ghostwrite a CEO's blog
(3) Place an article written by a PR firm but with a "byline" on it, meaning my name
(4) Blog for a website for free even though they're a business. Actually I had two of those. Not that any of this is shocking, but I love how offended people get at the idea this isn't just a normal request like asking for a bus transfer.
What, blogging for free isn't the norm? Denton, we need to talk.
