Headlightgate: Lindsay Lohan Accident Souvenir A Fraud?
A couple of readers have written in to cast doubts about the authenticity of the auction offering Lindsay Lohan's headlight. Here's one note about the potential fraud:
The e-bay auction for Lindsay Lohan’s headlight appears to be a fraud. The headlight that is depicted by the seller seems to come from a late model C-Class, as opposed to Lohan’s SL65. It’s hard to believe it’s a hoax, given the seller’s eloquent remarks and description. Below are other e-bay auctions for C-Class and SL-Class headlights, respectively.
Hours later, no one's made a bid, so it looks like no harm was done. But in the end, isn't the only important thing that a buyer believes he owns a very special piece of Lohan history? You can't obtain a certificate of authenticity for a beautiful feeling.
