Lindsay Lohan's Crash: The Aftermath

A Defamer operative returned to the scene of yesterday's vehicular tragedy and just filed this report on The Crash's aftermath:
Just got back from running errands on Robertson Blvd. the day after The Crash. It was a strange vibe. TV crews were roaming around, filming shards of broken glass in the street and staking out prime standup spots for further coverage of this National Tragedy. The salespeople in the shops along the block were out watching.....well, nothing. In Newsroom, I could have sworn the cashier was talking about how rich someone was going to get from the photos of The Crash, although my Spanish isn't that great. But best of all, I saw Joe Eszterhas and his wife standing outside Newsroom talking to some guy. I though he ditched the business and lived in the Midwest, but maybe not. He was wearing very bright Nike sneakers with his socks pulled up to mid calf. Which is a fashion violation.
We have to admit, this is hardly the tableaux we'd pictured. Where are the endless flower arrangements, the sobbing pilgrims with candles, the giant vodka bottle monument rendered in gold and topped with an eternal flame? Joe Eszterhas' unexpected consecration of the site is a nice touch, but the whole thing strikes us as a little underwhelming and direspectful of the gravity of yesterday's events.
