Gawker Comments: Memo From HQ

In brief:
• For those of you who are experiencing difficulties logging in to the comments feature, we're guessing you're using Internet Explorer on a Mac OS. If this is the case: Sorry. That's the one browser/OS combo that won't work with our program. And no, it won't ever. If you're on a Mac, try to get Safari, Mozilla — or, if this is your workplace machine, a new job. Otherwise, we regret to inform you that you're retarded and can't even master a simple login process.
• Some of you paranoid conspiracy-theorists have expressed concern about being hunted down and identified through the comments. Unless you are using your actual name for your comments "handle," this is pretty much impossible. Your office tech dude cannot track you down by sleuthing around the comments section, and we'd spoon Judith Miller in a jail cell before revealing any IP addresses.
• Not to get all nasty-school-marm on you kids, but we have already had to ban a few users. Please don't make us resort to wrist-slapping — you're too smart and attractive for that! Rules of engagement can be found in our handy FAQ.
