We love our existing interns; we really do. We wouldn't trade them for anything. But they've been trained to salivate only when Jessica rings the bell, and, well, Jesse's dry cleaning isn't picking itself up. So there are some new openings in the mighty Gawker Intern ranks.

Interested? Then jump, jump, for our love...

We're going to be temporarily and intentionally vague on exactly what this or these new interns will be expected to do, but it will range from some administrative support to some research to some data-crunching to some full-fledged mocking and writing. Interns will not actually have to get dry cleaning. (The nice Chinese man around the corner seems very happy to bring it over when it's ready.) Hours and availability can be fairly flexible.

Here's what to do if you're interested: Send us an email, to newintern@gawker.com, convincing us why you're the one. This email should not include attachments, links, or a formal resume. Nor should it come to any address other than newintern@gawker.com.

It should show us you can write, show us we'll like you and like working with you, and show us, most importantly, that you get it. It'd be good to mention a bit about your background, a bit about why you think you'd be a good fit, and, probably, a bit about your interests and availability. If you impress us now, we'll ask for more. Also — and these are by no means requirements — if you've got a strong familiarity with New York City blogs and/or a strong knowledge of the media scene and players, be sure to mention that. Apparently we could also use someone around here who's good at geography.

Act fast. This offer expires by the end of the week, if not sooner.
