From to Dave to David: It's Only Two Little Letters
Not since the producers of Bewitched (the TV series, kids, not the Nora Ephron movie) switched Dick Sargent for Dick York have we been so confused by a midstream same name star replacement as this:
Notice for those attending the sold-out They Might Be Giants vs. McSweeney's event this Wednesday, March 2, at Lincoln Center: The event will feature the band, along with Sarah Vowell and Ben Karlin, but Dave Eggers is unable to be in New York for the show. His place in the program will be taken by David Rakoff. Rakoff will do a much better job than Eggers would have.
Wow, our heads are swimming. If Rakoff cancels and David Sedaris replaces him, we might need to check ourselves into a rest facility to sort this out.
