Save Karyn, Act Two: Save Chick Lit

Remember a few years ago when Karyn Bosnak, that endearing Holly Golightly of the digital age, launched a website called savekaryn.com to help you help her pay off her credit card bills? Sure you do! At the time, newspapers and magazines fell all over themselves to write articles about her and her digital panhandling scheme. You might've even donated some money to the scrappy New York gal so she could reach her projected $20,000 because she's "really nice, and... asking for your help!"
Well, now it's time to give her even more money, sucker. According to the Publisher's Lunch email newsletter, Bosnak has just sold her second book (yes, second book), Twenty Times a Lady. (Bosnak managed to bang out her own story Save Karyn, while you still have that perfect New Yorker short story mostly written on the back of receipts and in your head.)
Twenty sounds like a doozy, too: "a humorous novel about a 29-year-old Manhattanite who's obsessed with her 'number' (the number of men she's slept with) and what she does once she reaches it."
Prepare yourself now for the Lifetime movie of the week adaptation sometime in 2006.
