The Smoking Gun has three hilarious pages of the Nick Lachey/Jessica Simpson book proposal, but there's so much more life-affirming inspirational material in the book, like this bit from page 10. Jessica talks about meeting Nick:

[Nick's] blue eyes were so warm. And he didn't even try to touch me! I had dated a few guys in Los Angeles, most memorably, a really hot young soap star who shall remain nameless! and they always made me feel bad because I didn't want to sleep with them on the first date. So you can imagine their reaction when I let them in on my little secret, that they wouldn't be sleeping with me on any date. It was always, "It's only sex, Jessica" and "Why are you so uptight, Jessica?" and soon they were moving on to another blond who was easier to get into bed. Which, sad to say, was about every other woman in Hollywood.
